Most scholarships are not awarded “automatically”. There are many many more applicants than money allotted.
If you want a scholarship…so the submissions. Otherwise, the award will definitely go to someone else who does.
Even if you do everything, there is no guarantee you will receive every scholarship you apply to receive. That’s just not how it works. The applications are reviewed, and recipients are selected.
