Pitt’s 2010-2011 Common Data Set is the most recent one online for which ACT scores are reported. That year, a full 59% of freshmen scored between 24 and 29. Pitt’s standards are inching up, by all accounts, but I wouldn’t expect a 28 to have fallen into the bottom quarter this quickly. Those scores aren’t broken down by school, though. Does Nursing have higher standards than Arts and Sciences? I don’t know the answer to that one. Another possibility: Are either your Math or English subscores below 25?

YellowJacket76 – The chart is for general comparison of scores. Lots of kids do better on one test than the other because they’re testing different things.
