<p>sunkist, yeah I also remember reading somewhere that Rice’s purpose was to provide for Texans. 
That probably contributed to its current status with people who don’t come from Texas. I agree with you that Rice should draw from a more regionally diverse applicant pool should it decide to increase its popularity, but not too much so that Texans are unfairly treated in the application process.</p>
