Why is Texas Techs Liberal Arts program better than UT Austin

The reason for making the argument… My daughter is going go to TTU. She was also excepted to UT. For whatever reason her fathers side of the family is poo pooing that she is going to TT instead of UT. She’s going for English /Lit. I feel that TT is a better fit for her and that she’ll still get a great education. I would like to know if TT’s liberal arts is better than UT.

<p>You are wise to help your daughter pick the school that offers the best fit. You are also right that she will get a great education in Lubbock. The last part should be a lot less important to you, and fwiw probably impossible to find much support for in Texas. While you might claim that the departments could be equally good, trying to convice many that TTU is better would raise plenty of eyebrows. </p>
