<p>I have a friend who was a professor for many years (engineering) at A&M. He said if he had kids to send to college again he would send them to Tech. He thinks the honors program is very underrated and that the size of the university offers a better chance for personal attention. He thinks both the 2 bigger schools are just too overwhelmingly huge and tangled in red tape. So- there’s that.<br>
I spent a fair amount of time in Lubbock earlier in my career (didn’t live there) and it wasn’t just thrilling, to be honest, but I think Tech is a solid university with some strong programs. Better than UT? Hard sell there.</p>
