Why is there so much hate for Davidson Hall?

I’m in B :)

I’m SOOO HOPING that you’re right with the window, Sixflags cuz my hardcore fan would work if it had a way to take air in and out. Even if it wasn’t the full diameter of the fan  I just HATE being ridiculously hot is all which is why I’m so obsessed -_- I can’t deal with over 85 degrees. And then what about all my poor technology left there to bake on hot days? D:

I just found this pic online. If you look at this picture, the windows in the background opens outward.

You can also get one of those tower fans if you want. Another friend of mine had a tower fan, and it surprisingly brought down the temperature of the room by quite a lot.

OK Good! I think my fan will fit in that with a little maneuvering (aka duct tape) :stuck_out_tongue: It won’t get the full perpendicular stream of air that it’s designed for, but the angled air is better than nothing

And I appreciate you helping me XP A jerk would say, “don’t know, see ya!”

And my roommate has a super tower fan so we should be good. I also have a box fan =D

Funny. Davidson halls used to be barracks for soliders. Now you, a student, is ready to go to the battle heavily armed with fans…I guess. Anyway, good luck on your freshman year.

Thanks! Good luck with your… (taking a guess) sophomore year…?? Anyway, thank you again. Davidson will be what I make of it :)

I remember that what my Orientation Leader told us, the Davidson Hall’s walls are made out of stacked cardboard. So watch out, hahaa.

ZUZU - If all goes according to plan I should be in Davidson Hall Wednesday Aug 22nd. I will try to see if all the rooms are alike window wise and get you some measurements if possible. I will check to see how far out the window swings and if it looks like it will accomodate that type of fan. Worst case, your folks take it back home with them and return it and you maybe need to make a Target/Bed Bath and Beyond run for another type of fan.

Soo if we get armoires instead of closets, does that mean that we don’t get dressers because it doesnt seem like there’s enough room for both…

Here’s a flickr picture that describes the campus/area: [College Living at Rutgers U | Flickr - Photo Sharing!](College Living at Rutgers U | Scott McIntyre | Flickr) Davidson is very close to the dining hall.

My sister was placed in Davidson her first year. She told me that she ended up sleeping in her friend’s dorm in college ave the second semester (which isn’t allowed, by the way… still don’t know how she got away with that) because her dorm was so unpleasant.

Video on Youtube (from 2007 though): [Craziness at rutgers 2 - YouTube](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)
You can see inside the rooms, and inside the halls. I have no idea what they’re talking about though (I have it on mute).

Is the Davidson dining hall any good?

If you mean Busch dining hall, then yes. In my opinion it was the best before the new livingston dining hall opened up. Now its number two in food quality and variety. People tell me neilson dining hall on douglas/cook is the best, i dont think so. The food variety is very limited.

Here is some advice, most dining halls will get insanely packed after certain classes are done. For example organic chem lecture is usually before gen bio lecture, which means in that 3 hr time frame, students will be packed in the dining hall.

If you can, you should always try every dining hall but brower is probably the worst. Takeout is pretty good but all takeout lines will have a wait.
