Why is Yale considered the bastard school

To put all of this into perspective, Bulldog Days is always towards the end of the semester, so a lot of students are really busy writing papers, etc. I know that I unfortunately only had time this semester to attend two orientation events (the Social Justice Network Ice Cream Social… which rocked, by the way, and the activities bazaar) since I was planning a rally in front of City Hall on that Monday night. Sping is a busy, busy time!

But during last year, I distinctly remember staying up until 2:30 am, explaining the biology major and campus life to someone from Lousiana. He ultimately chose to come to Yale, and I’d bet that he had a similar conversation with some pre-frosh this year.

cause ppl are jealous that they wasted their highschool carreer and are inferior.

Ivy = 0wnage.

thesmartazz- holy crap, bulldog days was toward the end of the semester? You’re kidding me right? They were partying like no other on a MONDAY night. They had beer cans all over the old quad while parents were walking out. It was insane.

That’s why you should come to Yale. It’s like that ALL THE TIME!

Haha. Not really, though. I mean, there will be people partying at odd times throughout the semester, but people generally go out starting on Thursday nights (when non-group IV majors often start their 3-day weekends). Bulldog Days is kind of special. Most people get psyched about hosting prefrosh (there’s a lot of school spirit) - so even if they have things to do, they’ll put them on hold for a couple of days and take their prefrosh out, etc.

thesmartazz- too late, im gonna be your enemy. Go Crimson! and John Harvard(what a crappy mascot)

Well, just don’t get too jealous of what you see when you come down for The Game ;). School on Monday… Heh.

well, dont get too jealous when you see our football team. = P

I was there on Bulldog Days…ppl were just out on the quad running around drunk or high or whatever… it really was over the top. It can’t be classified as “partying”. It was just stupid in my opinion. Partying entails dancing, conversation, etc. Not large crowds of ppl standing around drinking and cursing, cursing, cursing…Yale really let me down.

So I chose Pton :). I was positive that I would go to Yale…sigh
