my mails r still on the way though so i dunno…:T</p>
<p>Are you all sure that all your application materials were postmarked before December 1st? The only hang-up we had was a teacher rec that finally got posted on Dec 8th. I’m positive, though, that it was postmarked before the priority deadline. Because of all the application materials coming into the office on Dec 1st, the website had said it would take a while to post everything. I tried calling UM-CP today, but no answer. Monday’s a holiday, so they won’t be in then either. I wonder whether this message means deferral into the next application pool. I think deferral is different from wait list, but who knows?</p>
<p>“Who knows” is right!! I guess we’ll just have to wait until Tuesday. However, I noticed on the Admissions website that they’re having an open house for high school juniors on Monday. Maybe they’ll be open!?? Who knows!!</p>

my recommendations were in even long before that.
so no way that they delayed my decision b/c of that…
i seriously have no idea.:S
but newdawn6’s daughter has pretty high stats so i really don’t think she got deferred…
and i thought defer and wait list r the same thing?:T

<p>I e-mailed the admissions office this AM, and they wrote me back. They said that some of the decision letters were delayed, and will be mailed on Monday. They didn’t comment on why there was no decision message on the website, though.</p>
<p>I get the same message when I try to view my admision decision. This is so frustrating. My friend that goes to my school was able to check and got accepted into Spring '08.</p>

<p>I just called the school. My d’s application was part of the the priorty admission but they have a batch of letters that did not get mailed out last Friday. According to the person I spoke with, the letters are getting mailed out today and we should hear something by the end of the week. I asked why it’s not showing on-line and she said they are still uploading the information. </p>
<p>So this sounds like what was emailed to Natstarmd. Good luck to all!</p>

i think if the letters r getting mailed today.
probably the decisions will be online today too.
and we should be able to get the mails tomorrow or wednesday.

<p>Babyjane - I did ask that question. They said that they just did not get all of the applications uploaded and mailed by Friday. And yes, I’m hoping we will see something on-line tomorrow.

<p>All those who are still worried that they have not received any word from UMaryland, I just gave them a call yesterday and asked them about the decisions.
Since I am an international student so my deadline was December 1st. They said that a few applications are still in review and decisions will hopefully be out in about 2-3 weeks.</p>

<p>Did you check the website again, two of my friends didn’t get theirs in the mail or online over the weekend, but both were online at 2:00 today.</p>
