Many kids in STEM simply realize the limitations of science classes and pursuing un-related fields in college, either as additional majors or minors. I am talking about Art, Music, Language, whatever else. They are claiming that it gives them an edge in science classes, ability to see a different solution, in addition to providing great R&R for somebody who is just not used to have R&R in front of TV.
Miami: Sounds right. Certainly gives an edge in certain types of science courses and the other stuff I feel is pretty true from personal experience.
