why should i apply to gwu

Have your son sign-up on the various governmental/NGO websites/jobsites to be notified of student opportunities, internships, jobs, etc. For example, the State Dept has a great website for college students and notifies them by e-mail of openings. Now I have to admit things are difficult for freshman, but the GW Career Center is a great place to start for internships, jobs this summer. Your son should be signed up for “GWORK” which is GW’s website to search for Internships, job openings etc.

I have to admit -I’ve had to get him motivated, but the alternative was to come home for the summer to a rural area and be bored to death! He subsequently got it together!

Key - GW Career Center! they reviewed his Cover ltr and resume and had it back to him in 48 hours with corrections! A great resource - even for freshman.
