Re: Ravens56 Comments

Yes, GW is very expensive, but gives decent FA and scholarships (if qualified) - even merit aid which the ivy’s do not.

Campus is urban - like many colleges in the country. Know that up front. Of course that’s a selling point in my opinion to be “in” DC and near a metro station.

Clearly some wealthy students, but also a group who is on scholarship and FA - probably 50%?? You can find your own group of friends/organizations/greek life etc.

Food - most agree it’s poor. Lots of Starbucks!! Most students get off the student meal plan ASAP. Fortunately, there’s a pelthora of reasonably priced restaurants. Plus - upperclass dorms have great kitchens where you can actually cook!

Fashion - have to defer - “S” doesn’t worry about this. May be an issue with the “D”'s.

If my “S” would have not gotten the scholarship/FA he did - there was no way we would have footed the bill for GW. However, the total “Cost” of GW is kind of like buying a car - not many pay full sticker price ;)
