“If “speed” ( as prescribed) enables an adult to function in society, then why would we want to ban it?”

You really scare me. Six years old? Adderall works by speeding up the brain, so naturally the brain tries it’s hardest to slow down. Thus more and more adderall is needed to get the same speed the brain even started out with(before adderall). More and more. And should you ever get off adderall your Brain will be very slow. Because of trying to slow down all that time… The brain will NOT go back to what is was before, but it will stop trying to slow down when you get off. Adderall drains you, and at the same time puts your body in more stress, more and more will be needed, just to do normal things. It drain you of nutrients, speeds up your digesting so you can not absorb vitamins, or calories. Stunts the brain, and the body. Irritates 4 areas of the brain. Changes and shape of the brain. Causes chronic fatigue after awhile. Gives you irregular heart beat. List goes on and on. Six years old? That’s crazy. Raise your kid. Don’t drug them so they’ll let you alone. KNOW WHAT YOUR ARE DOING TO YOUR KIDS BEFORE YOU DO IT. That’s one of the most horrible things I’ve ever heard. Do not brush this off. Do what’s right.

“…Isn’t addictive…” Yes it is, even your doctor would tell you that. Oh my God. Please don’t take this as an attack. I am really worried about you, and your kid(s). In the nicest way.
