<p>everyone talks about how hard it is, and it’s challenging, but I don’t think excessively so. Every single semester I feel like I’m exponentially more intelligent than I was when the semester started; if you are willing to take criticism and work hard, you will have a really good experience academically. You will find a lot of competitiveness, I’m not going to lie, and it can creep into your mindset so that before you know it you’re holding yourself to completely unrealistic standards. Understanding that you are your own person, and that you absolutely cannot compare yourself to other people, is crucial to surviving here.</p>
<p>The alumnae network is also a huge plus. Our alums are extremely loyal and almost always willing to help a student out. We have lots of great orgs and the campus is GORGEOUS, which is great. And if you’re heterosexual (or queer–but I think the queer population here tends to stay on campus more), partying in Boston is a lot of fun.</p>
<p>Basically, if you can make it through 4 years at Wellesley, you will be extremely well-prepared for the “real world” that follows graduation. It really is a character-building experience, as cliche as that sounds. It’s not easy but it’s worth it.</p>
