You do have a future. But you need to nail the school down and make them show you how you went over your limit. Don’t always take the first answer, insist on any paperwork or documentation showing you how you went over.
Are you saying that you went to a 2 year community college and It took you 3 years to complete and also borrowed for three years? I’m not really understanding the dilemma.

First I started off part time at the community college, and then the last two years I went full time all year round. I borrowed money for the last two years because I needed money for books. I was taking Bio courses for the RN program. They are saying that I exceeded my limit, therefore they revoked my pell grant. I was not supposed to have registered or even been able to take out loans for Fall 2009-10 but the system did not detect it so I was able to continue on with no holds on my account. The system detected it in Sept 2010 but by then I had already finished all of my pre reqs and transferred to another school

well how do you know your loan limit? I went online to fafsa and it does not tell me what my loan limit is for my school

The aggregate loan limit for the Stafford loan is $31,000. I am not aware of their being a loan limit at any particular school. If you are over $31k in Stafford loans then you have exceeded your loan limit for federal Stafford loans (assuming you are a dependent student). you would not be eligible for Stafford loans at any school.

If you are below the $31k limit then I am puzzled by what limit you are over.

Go to this website to see all of your loans. Your issue may have been borrowing too much in a single award year. Look at the loan dates. You cannot exceed the annual limit in a single award year: $5500 freshman ($9500 if independent), $6500 sophomore ($10,500 if independent), $7500 jr/sr ($12,500 if independent).
