wifi hotspots?

An old building normally has thick walls and it is not good for wifi OR wireless transmission. If wireless signals are weak in the building hotspots will not work either.

The best results will be pull his own lines from the street, that will make the signals strong with broadband.

S2 signed up for regular internet through the cable company. He has deal with kid in the apt next door. For $25 / month, S2 gives him the password so they can both use. He has control, so if the guy doesn’t pay, he just changes the password. That was cheaper and more reliable that a hotspot where he is. Also he doesn’t have to have the TV, just the internet via the cable.

Tango, that sounds like a reasonable plan for use while in the apt, but not so useful for connecting while traveling.
