Will a vegetarian be out of place at U of A?

UA has been getting a lot better in terms of vegetarian and vegan-friendly items. Like everything else at the dining halls, the food is on a rotation, so you will see the same things every few days. I know that the rotation is 2-3 weeks for the non-vegetarian entrees.

Bama Dining does not have menus up this week. Keep in mind that the posted menus may not be correct. Feel free to ask if an item is vegetarian as some items, particularly yogurt and collard greens, are not always vegetarian. It would be safe to assume that the cheddar and processed cheeses are not made with animal rennet.

Casino, there are some people who are vegetarian or vegan because of health concerns or simply not liking the meat option that is being served.

Atlanta68, students would be welcome to bring nutritional yeast or any desired condiment with them to the dining halls. I’ve been tempted to bring a bottle of Cholula hot sauce with me when I eat in the dining halls.
