Thanks for your helpful advice! I have some follow up questions if you’re willing:

  1. What essay sounded coolest? (I’m trying to decide which to write about for my personal statement).
  2. My parents seem to think that my application is strong enough to either get accepted or deferred EA. I am not really willing to take that chance and get denied. Is there any disadvantage to applying RD?
  3. My GPA puts me in roughly the top 5% of my class, but my high school doesn’t provide class rank. Do you have any advice on how to show this in my application (to lessen the importance of my subpar ACT score)?
