Write your essays in wordpad not a word doc. The essay is less likely to be truncated or loose its formatting with wordpad than word doc when copied and pasted into the Apply Texas field.
Make sure to re-read it very carefully and edit well for spelling, tense, punctuation, etc. See if an English teacher will help you by being another set of eyes. Once copied and pasted, make sure it is whole and in good order.
There is nothing wrong with hoping. Even if you are offered Blinn Team over full admissions, you are still considered an A&M student and have all rights and privileges as full admit students except you cannot participate in an NCAA sport. Kick butt that first year and apply to transfer. There are some majors that offer guaranteed admittance to major with their partnership with Blinn. Here is a list of those and the requirements. Make sure to click on the incoming 2017 links. http://blinnteam.tamu.edu/AdmissionAgreements.aspx
While your scores are 50% of getting in, what you bring to the table is the other 50%.
Best of luck to you.
