So I got into skidmore a while ago and I committed however, My first semester grade for calc was 88 which is a B+(according to skidmore grading) and I think my second semester grade for calc will be a 77 or a C+. My other grades are very similar to my first semester grades. Will I get rescinded from skidmore?
You should be just fine.
Read your letter of acceptance but you got a B and C - so nowhere on this earth would you be rescinded.
Good luck at Skidmore.
PS Calc is hard - you might want to repeat it next year while there.
I forgot to add that my acceptance letter said
“All offers of admission are contingent upon the successful completion of this academic year at the same high level of achievement presented to the Office of Admissions for review and continued good citizenship.”
But I graduate soon and my math grade has never been this low before so Im stressing like the last week of school.
yeah - no issue. A B and a C - you’re fine.
But you want to understand calc, especially if going further - so learn what you are missing and/or take again next year.
If you AP test out, don’t take the credits (unless you’re in a major where it would be the last class).
Good luck.
Definitely plan to retake calc. Thank you so much!
Best of luck to you.
That is very typical wording. You are fine. The general rule is to avoid D’s and F’s.
Agree with re-taking calc in college (if you need to take calculus at all).
Good luck at Skidmore.
Thank you so much!
What was your previous level of achievement (GPA) in courses whose grades were reported to Skidmore before you were admitted, and what GPA did you earn in courses that were listed as in-progress or planned?
That information is in the OPs first post.
I retook calculus in college and was so glad I did. It made more sense the second time around, ha.
