I agree that domestic full pay students will be at a premium and will have better odds to get into historically low admit colleges. I’m not sure I would go so far as to say those colleges would have historically been “beyond their reach” however.

How often do we talk about how the low admit schools have way more qualified applicants than they have spots? And how many of the colleges could fill their classes multiple times over without a decrease in student performance? I think that a bigger percentage of qualified (full-pay) applicants will receive an acceptance in the new environment, but I don’t necessarily think that those schools would have been “beyond their reach” before. I just think that the odds have definitely improved for qualified applicants.

As a parent of a rising junior (my oldest), I appreciate everyone’s insight.
