I know I said I would not respond further but I want to clarify only for outside readers to avoid this ongoing confusion as they make their way through their courses.
Non-repeatable courses usually mean a course has been taken too many times with subpar grades (Ws are sometimes factored in). So a W, then and F, then a D, you get the picture. In those cases a CCC may or may not budge in terms of erasing previous grades. How the UC views it will be at its discretion. It is a CCC thing, not a UC thing.
Do not let that situation obsfuscate the fact that a simple request by OP to repeat one bad grade from freshman year is simply that. A repeatable course that will erase the F from the GPA. This is standard operating procedure. Thank you and stay calm. ?
