Will suspension affect merit aid offers?

Or at least who never got caught. I suspect one thing giving some of us pause is that we know that underage drinking among high school students is so widespread that it seems problematic to impose serious consequences on the few who get caught doing it. It just doesn’t seem, to me, to be the right way to address this particular issue. This is not like cheating, or stealing, where there is a direct victim, or even like drunk driving, where there is a huge danger to others. This is, essentially, a moral standard that has been embodied into law, or at least something that is designed primarily to protect the perpetrator herself. It seems to me quixotic to damage a kid’s future over that.</p>
