<p>Here’s data from a 1997 Dartmouth survey. You make the call on whether you think concerns about alcohol at moderate to high binge drinking schools are over-stated.</p>

<p>Interesting data from a 1997 Dartmouth report on their annual student survey on alcohol:</p>

In the past year: </p>

<p>62% had played drinking games.</p>

<p>51% had vomited because of alcohol use in a private setting (such as a bathroom).</p>

<p>19% had vomited because of alcohol in a public setting.</p>

<p>11% had deliberately vomited so they could drink more.</p>

<p>20% had urinated in a public setting while under the influence of alcohol.</p>

<p>27% had a blackout while drinking.</p>

<p>Yet, only six percent thought they might have a drinking problem.

<p>One out of five students vomited in a public place? Or, urinated in public? One out of four had an alcohol blackout? One out of ten vomited so they could drink more? At one of the world’s most prestigious universities? How could you not see any problem here?</p>

<p>Yes, you’ve posted this Dartmouth survey in other Williams threads. Sounds very gross, if accurate. Maybe you should take your crusade to the Dartmouth board? Or stick with Williams studies, when posting to Williams threads?</p>
