Congrats to everyone!!

Anybody know what the acceptance rate is for deferred students?

Rejection gang wya

Accepted what the heck

Accepted!!! I’m so extremely thrilled and shocked at the same time. Did that really just happen? I can’t wait to be on campus next year!

Congratulations to all accepted students.

To those deferred (good luck!) or rejected:
You may feel sad now, but a year from now, you will feel completely “at home” at whichever college you attend, and you will be happy you are at that college and wonder why you ever would have wanted to go anywhere else!

Best wishes!

Thank you @TheGreyKing for all your help throughout this process! You’ve been so active on the Williams forums, and us students can’t be more grateful for all the time and effort you take to offer us advice, answer our questions, and soothe our fears. I really love Williams and your numerous responses have helped me decide to apply there ED. I’m so glad I did.

Regarding the acceptance rate for deferred students, it’s really hard to peg a number since the ED round as I understand it typically includes some of the strongest applicants. Assuming this is the case, a deferred student might stand a better chance in the regular round since his or her application may be stronger in comparison to the broader RD pool. Each application is reviewed again in the RD round so its hard to say how all the various factors get weighed in a larger pool. Thus, you still have a competitive chance.
