<p>@Matisyahu: Ok… but “johndesoto” received acceptance on 17th but applied just on Oct.2nd. Does U-M view applicants actually together rather than based on complete date order?</p>
<p>I don’t believe U of M does rolling admissions anymore. I think they review the applications all at once, but I could be wrong.</p>

<p>I believe they have different people (who work in admissions) assigned to various regions, who are familiar with schools within that particular region. So since I’m a student at Pitt, whoever is viewing my application is probably familiar with the school. It’s the fairest way to go about the application process.</p>

<p>guys i called UM today and asked why the heck are they taking so long. Apparently the counselor in charged of my application is on a business trip. And a few other counselors as well. Of all days in the year, seriously. i was ****ed off-.-. I applied on Aug 20th and i think im the only person who applied in august and have not received my decision. Sigh, really made my day pretty bad. I do hope i get my decision real soon, but looks like some of us gotta wake a little bit more. So much for that early decision-.-…</p>
<p>On the brighter side, UofR just accepted me lol, and i applied on 1st of October as a back up plan. lol…</p>

<p>@d4wnzz I haven’t heard back either, and I applied in August as well. A couple weeks before you, even! I contacted admissions in early September because the lack of a response was making me nervous, and was told I should have a response “in about a week.” …Pretty funny in retrospect.</p>
