Well, I was wrong. Got home about three hours later. It had not printed. But as soon as I opened up my laptop and turned it on and it connected with the wifi (I had taken my laptop with me to run errands), it printed immediately.
Go figure.

No help here but wanted to commiserate with you and express my frustration with wireless printers.
When we moved to this house this summer, I tried to connect with our wireless printer like I was at our previous house. In the midst of all that, somehow MY PC took over my husband’s PC. We have two different wireless printers!
I woke up the next morning about 6:30 am to my husband asking me for my password so he could get out a document before he left for a flight (so he was stressed).
I still have no idea what I did or how I did it. If someone threatened my life to do it again I’m sure I couldn’t. It was the freakiest thing.
So that’s a clue @teriwtt.Are you SURE you’re connected to the wifi when you send to print? We have a finicky & complicated wifi setup. My problem solving go-to is to turn off wifi on the wireless device and reconnect. When we’ve had a lot of wireless connections (us, kids, kid friends, multiple devices each… it adds up!) rebooting the router and extender solves most problems. I haven’t needed to restart the printer, but that would be my next thought.
We have that same issue. Things randomly print hours or days later.
Also, another wireless problem. We set up S’s new Epson printer at home to make sure it would work and was ok quality. Now at school, it can’t connect (wireless) to his MBP. Messages like “IP address already in use” and another one I forgot. I’m not sure how to connect it at school- his laptop is connected to the school wifi. Does the printer need to also be connected to the school wifi to receive the signal from his laptop? I can’t remember what I did at home but it seemed fairly easy. Also, can we set up his roommate’s laptop to also print wirelessly to the same printer?
