Wish me luck...

Good luck, fendergirl! I have all the confidence in the world that you’ll do well!

Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

Was told today that I will be getting an interview and that HR will be reaching out to schedule it soon. I also heard they have over thirty applicants already so it’s going to be tough. But at least I’ve made it to the interview stage. not everyone makes it that far so that’s step one.

Just 30 people for you to knock out of the box. Good luck!! You can do this

Go, girl, go!

HR called, I scheduled my interview for next week. It’s a three part interview with different people which is that I had for my current position as well.

we have faith in you

Interview is tomorrow!! Doing some last minute prep. There was a question on the posting that I was not familiar with. I studied up on it this weekend and took a two hour online course. If the topic doesn’t come up I might cry… Lol. I wouldn’t consider myself an expert but at least I can understand it and speak to my understanding and willingness to learn.

I hope that was the right thing to do.

Sounds really smart on your part. You got this!

Good Luck! (And yes, your study was doing the right thing).

If it doesn’t come up, is that something youd try to work into an answer anywhere towards the end if it’s relevant?

Maybe. Follow your gut, but don’t overplay your hand too much in an area of minimal experience.

When doing the 2nd level mgr interview for my job, I looked up an unfamiliar term (now ever so familiar). At that point I knew enough to say it had not been relevant to my old job, but I explained how it had synergy with some of my other knowledge. In retrospect I think the 2nd level mgr was just validating the 1st level mgr recommendation and didn’t care about that detail.

Had my interviews. I’m the first person to interview so I guess I’m currently in the lead.

I think I did well but who knows. They all said how happy they were that I applied and that it showed initiative and that even if I don’t get it in the end that I at least tried and put my name out there.

There will be a second round of interviews with the higher ups and possibly a third.

Not sure when I well hear since the posting is still up and they are still getting applications.

Cross your fingers.

One negative thing is that the job is at our main office which is an hour away from my house.

However, many other people from home drive down here and I think I could get in on the car pool. I currently work from home so it’s tough to beat that.

It sounds like things went well. Good luck! And for now… enjoy working from home ;)

Good luck!!!

Good luck!!!

Yay fendergirl! Fingers crossed!

Good luck. Moving to the main office wouldn’t be so bad! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. You know…even if this isn’t the move up job, my guess is there WILL be one for you…and soon!

If the money was there I wouldn’t mind the long commute - especially if I can get in on the car pool a few days a week.

Of course, I have to make it past the first round of interviews!

I have a feeling that I bring a different skill set to the table compared to other people who are interviewing… so we’ll see

Hey, it’s been WEEKS! What’s up with the job?
