Or takes advantage of curl from a bottle/box.
I’m much older now (obviously) but have short, permed hair. It takes me 30 seconds in the morning to “do” it. Brush, gel, and go.

As was made clear in the other thread, you will have zero time plebe summer to “fix” your hair. I never even used a blow dryer other than maybe Sunday mornings – and this was the 1980s era of “big” hair. The amazing thing is that you really won’t care what your hair looks like and neither will your classmates. Most of the time, you’re hot and sweaty and suffer from “hat head” (what comes after wearing your cover all day). No style will stand up to that.

I STRONGLY encourage you, for plebe summer, to find a style that looks adequate with minimal work. Minimal means less than 60 seconds. And get it done BEFORE you arrive. The USNA hair stylists may or not be ok, but I can guarantee they’re not doing their best work on I-Day. And your upperclass will be really happy not to have to wait for you to get your “hair done.”

As noted, during ac year, you will have (some) more time to style your hair and, as an upperclass, you’ll have about as much time as you want to spend.
