This can really only happen in India. You are not allowed to practice medicine in the US without a license, so at the age 7, I seriously I am guessing that he did not earn an MD or take the board exams.

“This can really only happen in India.”…mmmm not really. If the kids belongs to small poor village (I´m making up another case) I doubt the governement would ever even find out he´s practicing medicine, regardless of the laws requiring a license.

he may be smarter than me but he’s still ugly.

Surgery at seven?! I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life when I was seven…good for him that he knew what he wanted but seriously he is still just a kid…I’d never let him near me no matter the extent of his knowledge about medicine!!!

Speaking of intelligent children, did you guys see Oprah’s special where she interviewed child prodigies with Jay Leno? It was really amazing, especially the girl who was a history whiz at like … age 6. memorized every fact pertaining to US History, memorized the Constitution, declaration of Independence, etc, and started on memorable quotes. There was also a dinosaur whiz kid, who knew everything there was to know about dinosaurs…i’d never even heard of a micropachycephalosaurus before in my life, try spelling that correctly…

haha he has one of those backpacks with wheels! i cant stand those. wow that was irrelevant lol.

The only person at my school that I’ve seen with those wheelie backpacks is this tubby giant hobo guy.

This is amazing. A true prodigy. Stop bashing talent you bunch of tough-behind-my-keyboard s. On a side note, having hundreds of friends in middle school and high school doesn’t mean jack when you are the one who asks “Do you want fries with that?” later on.

iloveagoodbrew, I am guessing that you are Indian because of your extensive knowledge of the post secondary school system in India as evidence in the following thread:

So your opinion may be biased. I don’t think anyone is saying that the kid is not smart. Everyone is just agreeing that they would not want an unlicensed kid operate on them. This article may explain why:

I also agree with the people that thought the dad was a poor excuse of a father when he left his kid.

I personally wouldn’t want someone younger than me to open me up and play around with my guts…unless I had no other options of course.
