What is the cost? I checked their website, but I couldn’t find it. Almost every college offers these science research program, so I guess that RIBS is not necessarily “suspicious”, but instead, it’s just tiresome to list each and every college opportunity. I know Penn offers a pretty “selective” summer research program that has gotten alot of positive reviews. But the price is over $5,000. If you really want to do research over the summer, it might just be better to contact a college professor and see if you can work something out. But that doesn’t always work out, so hence, the summer college research programs that people pay big bucks to go to. I’ve heard alot of great things about these programs though, so I’m sure that the experience itself is rewarding despite the heavy pricetag that comes along with it.
I think we all know that free usually equates to prestigious. But not all of us can get into RSI, or MITES so alot of people choose to pay money to research at a college laboratory.</p>
