<p>Lots of Americans start college - few finish. The percentage of college graduates in most European countries at least is very similar to the US. Focus appears to drastically reduce the drop out rate.</p>

<p>UK - 49% (and remember that 85% of these will graduate within 4 years, making the percentage of graduates about the same as the US)
