Would I be able to make it in Rutgers

If you want my opinion, since you are out of state, I honestly believe you should just attend UMBC or another college that would make you pay less for all 4 years. The most important thing is getting a degree, you don’t wanna get out of college and be over $50k in debt just because you wanted to enjoy yourself for 2 years. My classmates from HS are only in their 2nd year of college and many of them are already over $50k in student loans (and they are In-State students). You really don’t want to worry about paying all that money back after you graduate. Unless Rutgers is offering to pay most of the tuition for you which I doubt, its not even worth.

Its not really because I was to enjoy myself. If I really wanted to enjoy myself in college I would go to Rutgers for all 4 years. But, graduating out of Rutgers would also help me more with finding jobs in the future. Its a really good school compared to UMBC. I’m really just going to UMBC then transfer to Rutgers because my parents want me to stay in state first 2 years.
