I believe its cost. And they want me to stay close. Rutgers financial package hasn’t come out yet, but I don’t believe they will give much. UMBC is in-state for me…and UMBC is giving me $10K from the school itself and fasfa. But im waiting for state grant at the moment. My sister goes to UMBC right now and she pays only couple thousand, so I imagine i would get the same about… Rutgers on the other hand… tuition itself is already 30K…but my mom is telling me to transfer to Rutgers after 2 years to save money. I don’t know if that would hurt my chances if being able to attend or not. I hear transferring is harder than applying as a Highschool student.
