Would taking a Teacher Assistant period senior year hinder my application to T10s, 20s, etc?

Thanks everyone for your replies!

Here are the AP’s I’ve taken:

  • APUSH
  • AP Lang
  • AP Calc AB
  • AP Euro
  • AP Spanish
  • AP Chem
  • AP Bio
  • AP Music Theory

And here are the APs at school that are still available for me to take, outside of the ones I’ve already put on my schedule:

  • AP Psychology
  • AP Physics 1
  • AP Calculus BC
  • AP Seminar
  • AP Human Geography

I don’t really want to finish AP Calc BC at my school. Last semester, half (no exaggeration) of the BC students failed the class (D or F), and it’s not because they’re bad students - they work very hard. But that’s just how hard our teacher makes the course… and I really would not like to risk the GPA drop or deal with the stress. AP Calc AB with that teacher is already bad enough lol. Additionally, I feel like AP Stats would actually interest me more than Calc, and it seems to have better real-world applications. (I still want the AP test credit though, so I’ll self study for the exam in May 2023 - our calc teacher, because of his difficulty, makes the AP exam seem like a piece of cake and teaches some BC units in his AB class.)

As for AP Physics – I’ve been considering dropping APES for AP Physics 1. But I have my reservations because the Physics teacher is bad and the course is also very hard, which isn’t a good combo. I still need to consider this a lot. I’m applying to college as a science major so Physics would probably be better for me. But APES also seems more interesting to take…

And as for Psych, Seminar, and APHUG… they don’t really interest me. They’re totally off the table lol.

Thanks guys for all your input! Hope this info helps
