Would you cry if you got a 1 on an AP Exam?

I expect myself to receive all 5’s on my three AP exams. If I receive a 1 or 2 on one exam, I would not cry, but I would lose all self-confidence in myself, be in a clinical depression and/or lose all or most of my motivation to work diligently in school after severely overreacting like a maniac. If i receive a 3 or 4, I would overreact less severely and lose my self confidence and motivation to work diligently but not as much as receiving a 1 or 2. Moreover, on these three AP exams, I put much of my effort to ensure that I receive all 5’s, even though I didn’t feel a lot of stress that I expected when I was studying.

<p>This is what I posted almost a year ago. But since time has changed, my expectation of my reaction has slightly changed. The 1’s and 2’s–same expectation. 3’s–aghast. It might take days for me to get over it. 4’s-- I would accept it only for AP English Language and Physics B and possibly European History. 5’s–extreme excitement and it would wear off in twenty-four hours just like when I received my AP Score Report last July.</p>

<p>@jerrr4445: for AP Euro, a 4 shouldn’t be hard to get, with decent studying. I was surprised myself when I got a 5, because honestly, I half-assed my preparation for the test.</p>

<p>@thrill3rnit3 I know. All I need to do to get a 5 on the AP European History is this: 50+ for MC, 8/9 on DBQ (good thing it as easy as the APWH DBQ) and 5-7 on the other essays. But since it’s self-study, I possibly wouldn’t mind getting a 4.</p>

<p>Since my school’s pass rates for AP Chem, Lang/Comp, and Calc AB are very high, I’d be embarrassed to fail the AP exam. I’m trying hard to study with APUSH, too. I expect to pass all my exams. If I earned a 1, I’d apologize to my teacher and parents.</p>

<p>not trying to sound ignorant, but it is virtually impossible for me to get a 1 in my current situation, a 3 maybe. but no, if I fail and get a 1, I will just retake the test next year.</p>

<p>Depends on if I actually took the effort to study or not. If I spent hours studying and ended up with a one, I might shed a few tears. If I didn’t study at all and bombed the exam, I think I’d laugh.</p>

I probably would have cried with a 4 on either Chemistry or APUSH.
I probably would have cried with a 3 on either English Lit or Lang.
I probably would have cried with a 2 on French.</p>

<p>I ended up with all 5s, so it’s all good though. Except I still have ridiculously high expectations for myself, so it’s not all good. There’s always next year for tears, though…</p>
