Chicago – love the liberal arts focus and intellectual atmosphere. Makes for a well-rounded and cultured student.

Michigan or Wisconsin

Michigan or Wisconsin

Michigan

Dartmouth or Brown

Dartmouth- love the undergraduate focus and small size

Northwestern of Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt (will actually apply there, while I will apply to only one Chicago school, and that is not NWU)

NWU or Dartmouth

Dartmouth (NU is too big)

Eton and Oxford, Lawrenceville and Princeton, Harrow and Cambridge, Andover and Harvard or Exeter and Yale

Harrow and Cambridge - US undergrads seem a little too diluted in my field, while Oxford is a little weaker for my subfield

UMass Boston or UIC

I prefer Chicago, so UIC

Wesleyan or USC?

So different…tough. Wesleyan. USC seems fun but somewhat anti-intellectual.

MIT or Brown for a pre-med student?

Brown. MIT isn’t really my style.
Yale/Brown?

Yale. Brown has a an annual party called “SexPowerGod” - as lovely as that sounds, it scares me a bit.
Reed or Vassar?

Vassar
The campus looks pretty.

JHU or Amherst?

Amherst for undergrad (little distribution requirements), JHU for grad school (because Amherst doesn’t have a graduate program in my field)

Vassar or Amherst

Amherst. Vassar is more expensive.

University of Rochester or Tulane University?

URoch. Open curriculum is cool.

Northwestern or Georgetown?

Northwestern

University of Kansas or Wichita State?

KU - hard to make such a choice though

VCU or ECU

VCU. Tremendous fine arts department.

Scripps or Smith?

Scripps; hard to beat Cali

George Washington or Tulane?

Tulane (Love New Orleans!)

Vanderbilt or Georgetown?

Vanderbilt - they actually have particle cosmology

WUSTL or NYU
