<p>The point is NOT to save fuel, but to pay for fuel. Why should someone subsidize my baggage if I choose to take it, and they don’t?</p>

<p>If someone has liquid medicine of more than 3oz., that person will have to check his or her luggage, whereas someone else would not. It’s not a matter of choice.</p>
