<p>Whoa, that went too far. No, it’s not like they’re treated like dogs or anything. I don’t know about you, but I go to safe and fun places like shopping areas, tourist attractions and beautiful parks for fun. So if you wanted to go there as well, it might as well benefit the other student.</p>
<p>I think I’d prefer to hang out with the student, but I can see why others might choose to do the assignment.</p>
<p>Hanging out with the student would work out well if he doesn’t turn out to be a jerk. If you two don’t get along… you have 14 more weeks of it to look forward to…</p>
<p>That isn’t the point. The point is that you shouldn’t just be going along doing whatever you would have been doing anyway without consideration for what the other students wants to do. If he were just “tagging along” to everything I would be doing anyway that wouldn’t infringe on my busy schedule that much, but to actually expect him to do that would be rude.</p>

<p>I’d probably do the hanging out thing. What does that take, 30 minutes? Way easier than writing a bunch of papers. Reading’s fine unless the books are boring, in which case I’d rather gargle with a swiss army knife than take that option.</p>
