******WUSTL Merit Scholarships Class of 2020******

@crimsonwarrior Got kind of tired of it, but maybe I’ll have a new one or bring it back again! :slight_smile:

@momof2eagles So writing may come out mid-March? That’s disappointing as that’s the only scholarship I applied for, but I guess that’s just the same as waiting for the actual WashU decision :stuck_out_tongue:

@shadyconcepts here is the link. it will say Mid-March on the link for the writing scholarship. I didn’t see any of the other scholarships where it mentioned the actual timeline of notification but given that finalist fly out to wash univ the end of march I would think they would need to give you at least one month notice. the difference with the writing scholarship is I don’t think you fly out for finalist weekend but I could be wrong

I guess it won’t be today either…I really hope it is sometime this week though

Does selection for a finalist weekend typically signify admission to Wash U?

@scholcol yes, most of the time

@scholcol Yes, it is a strong indicator of possible admission/acceptance according to previous threads.

@scholcol I would think if you were a finalist that DEFINITELY you were admitted to Washington University. I believe from reading past threads from previous yrs that at the same time you were notified you were a finalist you were also notified you were accepted to Wash.Univ. for RD applicants. It makes sense. If the finalist were the top applicants they couldn’t reject or wt. list you after telling you that you were a finalist.

Based on previous years’ threads,

In 2013, pathway was updated at about noon est, 18th Feb
In 2014, pathway was updated at about 6pm est, 14th Feb
In 2015, pathway was updated at about 6pm est, 17th Feb

So results should be coming out on the portals either today or tomorrow evening I guess

Just wanted to add days of the week to @aznraffe’s post…

2013 was Monday, February 18 (President’s Day)
2014 was Friday, February 14 (before President’s Day)
2015 was Tuesday, February 17 (after President’s Day)

Fingers are crossed, but I’m not hopeful that we’ll hear back before the weekend.

Scholarships are posted on WashU Pathway.

@Dilan412 where?

I believe they were up, then taken down. I no longer see them.

@Dilan412 Okay, so this is weird. It basically is the same page I saw after I submitted my scholarship application and before the Jan. 15th deadline. It even has links for me to apply to the ones I didn’t apply for. No word on finalist status though. Does this mean anything?

That is what mine shows now. However, at 5:10 EST, I read my letters for for both merit and scholars program. No on both. :frowning:

what a tease lol

@HoosierTIA posted where?

On the portal. On the Inbox tab, there was a message for each saying it was posted I think. Then a letter stating the decision on the Scholarships and Scholars Program tabs. They no longer are there. Maybe it was a mistake, and I really got both #wishfulthinking

My word, this is frustrating smh

Well maybe they’re coming out in 45 minutes?!
You know what’s funny…I bet college admissions folks browse CC from time to time and do a silent chuckle to themselves whenever they see us all freaking out at the slightest disturbance around decision time

My portal said that my decisions were posted for my scholarships so I clicked on the link. It led me to the scholarships tab and I didn’t get any of the ones I applied for. Now, it has disappeared so ???
