Some girl ate like 2 pot brownies at 9 in the morning and then threw up ON the assistant principal. Her eyes were really bloodshot and she was acting really high and stuff and got suspended… it’s kind of funny. Also apparently this kid was doing 'shrooms and jumped off of a roof and now his leg is broken…

Our school has a school song (not for each grade) but no one even knows it.

yeah umm my school is like 20% gang members and the other 80% are like upper middle class peeps…and we have kids that do crack, cocaine, lsd, meth, shrooms, x, etc…it adds for some interesting conversations!

i’ve been checking this thread and the yale decision page OBSESSIVELY for the past couple days. i hate this midterms/college decisions overlap. i honestly can do no work without getting distracted every 5 minutes (quite literally)

i wish yale would just pull a stanford and surprise us with early results, but thats pretty much impossible :(

In my dorm, probably alone or with just one friend…of course at boarding school everyone knows your business so the news (good or bad) will travel quickly regardless of how many people are with me.

I have a bowling match for school until about 7PM. Part of me wants to check on a cell phone, but I know that won’t cut it. Just have to wait a few extra hours!

I don’t know, to be honest. I’ve actually put a great deal of thought into this (don’t judge me). My friend and I decided we would meet up at someplace with Wi-Fi and bring our laptops, but the Columbia ED decisions came out on the 9th, so that obviously didn’t work out for him. My guess is that I’ll probably be locked up in my room from 4:30 - 5:30.

I’ll be in my lucky pajama pants and hoodie (both from the Yale bookstore, of course) hitting the refresh button about two hundred times until 5:00. Wednesdays are the one day I don’t have Indoor Track practice…nothing but homework, midterms, and my anxiety to distract me!

The cephalopod’s average SAT score is 2400. Our essays (on a scale of 1-12) round up to 13. But for some reason, colleges aren’t willing to accept our kind. Us cephalopod’s blame it on our “marine life” status, which is ridiculous… >_>

Hahaha you guys are awesome.
I will probably not click on the decisions link right when it appears…thinking I’ll probably just lurk on the results page here and see how it looks first. Dunno though, I just know things will feel different for me looking on the Yale forums after reading my decision. Feels kind of special right now since its my only early admittance decision (except for rolling public woo!). After that, I’ll be posting in many different college forums probably, and it just won’t feel the same…
