Yale 2015 SCEA Hopefuls

All of you on the east coast…consider yourselves lucky that you’ll at least be out of school when the decisions come out! I’ll be in the middle of an astronomy lecture…which would normally interest me but of course on Wednesday it will feel like endless torture…

I considered just checking my phone but if I get the singing bulldog (unlikely, but still, I can’t help but hope!) then I definitely want to be at home…and if I get a rejection I won’t want to be in class with my competitive classmates breathing down my neck…

ok i just had a nightmare about a zombie apocalypse, and somehow Yale was involved… good sign? please?

^^ possibly a sign of obsession?

I can’t sleep. I just need Wednesday to be hereeeeee

OK. At least you’re not TAKING A FREAKING FINAL. I MEAN WHAT THE FACK. I’m taking a final WHILE decisions come out. They’ll be out. I’ll be sitting there, taking my final, plugging away on The Aeneid…

^LOL aeneid for me tomorrow too!

im so screwed

^^ haha, that is pretty bad, for both of you…kind of cruel that finals/college decisions/app deadlines all revolve around what’s supposed to be “the happiest time of the year”

So, to get decisions we go on the link they gave us, instead of receiving an email>

I’ve pretty much accepted that I’ll get deferred. So, yeah. But this is motivating me to do my other apps.

finals at 5pm? wow sucks, I’m sorry. Ill be volunteering ^.^ And although I’m pretty sure I’ll get deferred as well (just hoping for anything but flat out rejection!), I am not feeling the motivation to do my other apps… :/

Yes, you have to log into the decisions page

ahhhhhh almost exactly 24 hours!!!
my friend got into amherst as soon as school got out today…
ironically, the acceptances around me r strangely discouraging me…

cal6kelin, you missed it.

24 hours, 0 minutes, 0 seconds right NOW.

By this time tomorrow, everyone’s admission decision will be up on the Yale website, whether you’re there to check it or not. In other words, everyone’s application has already been talked about, looked over, and scrutinized. Yikes.

<24 hours.

My mental state is best described as “twitchy”.

~lol~ .

Okay. Freaking out. So I just got an email from Yale about my updates. Today. Less than 24 hours before decisions come out.

Should I take this to mean that they just now looked at my updates? Because they could definitely make or break my application. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA E;AWIFJ;WSKL ;_;

What were your updates?

A letter about a few big music competitions that I did really well at, and a few tiny minor things. argrghghrgh

Same for me. I (well actually my college counselor) faxed a letter talking about recent contests and exams I took part in. It could really make a difference.
They sent back a fax saying the same thing as for fgsfds.

i sent them updates but i got no email. is that a bad sign :/
