Yale 2015 SCEA Hopefuls

Good luck to you too, sir.

good luck to everyone!!

We have all tried hard, we have all persevered, we have all overcome numerous obstacles, we have all accomplished something so far in our lives, no matter how insignificant it may be, and we have all been courageous enough to apply to Yale.

We did them for God, for country, for Yale, and for ourselves.

Good luck, everybody!

^ amen to that.

we’re all in this together and this is our last night of not knowing our decision. we’ve come a long way and i’m proud of everyone.

good luck to all and and God with you!

Unless we get deferred, then it’s a long 3 months of not knowing our final decision :)

Unless you get waitlisted :(

Well played

GUYS, we totes deserve this. <3333

Good luck :))

LOL, does Yale actually defer and then waitlist? That’s just cruel.

deferred, then waitlisted…
that is a truly frightening thought.

deferred… waitlisted… then rejected!!! >_<

Yale 2015 plz!

Would a deferral -> waitlist -> acceptance be freaking painful? Yes.

Would I sign up for it in a heartbeat? Yesss.

ive just re-looked over the yale scea 2014 decision thread…and saw that there is absolutely NO correlation whatsoever between anything…so therefore im forced to conclude 50% of this is luck…

so good luck to you all.

For God, for country, and for Yale!

Alright, I guess now is as good a time as any.

I made this thread way back in July. I really can’t believe that it’s at 100+ pages and 100,000+ views. Honestly, when I made it, I wasn’t sure about applying SCEA, and I was still debating between that and Columbia ED. I don’t have the schools on my list ranked in order of preference, but I thought that I would apply to Columbia ED just because I thought that applying SCEA was just pushing my luck. However, there was this constant nagging feeling about wondering not “what could have been” if accepted ED, but “what if I had options.” I didn’t want to take myself out of the application game just like that, especially because I had no explicit first choice and I could probably make a more thoughtful decision with multiple acceptance letters in my hand. That’s why I applied SCEA. I’m sure a lot of you are like, gasp, because you applied SCEA simply because you love Yale, which has become very clear to me through the last few months on CC.

So, instead of just saying, “good luck,” to all of you “Yale 2015 SCEA Hopefuls,” I want to say “thank you.” Thank you for opening my eyes to Yale, even though this occurred after I applied. It has been the last few months on the various threads that have made me desire acceptance into Yale so greatly. A lot of you frequent posters are responsible for this, as well. I would try and name them all, but I’m scared that I’ll accidentally miss someone, so I’ll leave it at that. I just want to say that regardless of tomorrow’s outcome, I will never forget our little pseudo-Yale-Class-of-2015.

^ 10char

So true.

I say, why’s it have to end? If rejected/deferred tomorrow, I, CCuser18, propose getting a charter from the Queen of England. Indeed, in Old Haven, CT, we will establish Zale University as a school to be reckoned with…

EDIT: double post, my bad.
