@jcklop - I am aware of that.
I was wondering about the HTML/CSS thing. The post was deleted from the facebook group…

What exactly do we find out? I’m a bit confused about that.

@dancingtocollege Unclear—I think officially at noon (EST) on Tuesday the 16th. But other top schools are releasing decisions today, Friday, Saturday, and Monday. The 16th last year was a Monday, and that’s when Yale released them. So I still think there’s hope for decisions being released Monday, especially since there were fewer applications this year. Plus, two years ago, decisions were released slightly earlier than expected. Probably best just to assume Tuesday at noon, and then if they appear earlier, it will be a nice surprise! Good luck to everyone!

Doesn’t the email say it will be released on the 16th (Tuesday) EVENING?

@JHuff11 Sorry—yes. Tuesday the 16th in the evening. But last year people started posting results around 9 a.m. Pacific time (noon EST) on Monday. Time will tell, I guess!

To international applicants: I just found this interesting report, apparently my country is under-represented in Yale college! http://www.yale.edu/oiss/about/reports/2014/student13-14.pdf (only 1 person in Yale college!)

Is it me or did the decision site change?
A couple of hours ago it just said that the website is not available but know it asks me to log into my eli account and I get this message:
"A decision is not currently available.

Please contact Undergraduate Admissions for more information."

As a parent, I would like to caution you all about kidding about committing suicide if you don’t get in. I know you are kidding, but with everything going on these days, it’s making me a little nervous.

I know exactly where you are right now. I was like that 36 years ago when I was waiting for my decision and was in your parents’ position this time last year. Just read my comments about all the kids that did not get into Yale, Harvard, UPenn, etc who are ecstatically happy at their current school.

@razaza - Where?

The link will not be live until the appointed time. Then you will go to your Eli account, put in your password and the decision screen will come up. Hopefully you will see the singing Bulldog!!

The results did not come out until 5:00 EST on December 16 last year. Trust me, I know. I was there with my kid as she hit the button.

I second that, @Tperry1982—it’s worrisome. No college is perfect, not even Yale. And no one will be 100% happy all the time anywhere. Think about what you want to do in college and afterwards—you’ll probably be able to do that at lots of different schools. No harm in having a first choice, but realize that your other choices might be just as good and even, potentially, turn out better. That’s the reality.

It apparently went back to the old version. False alarm, sorry.
It could be a sign that they are meddling with the website.

The Yale website has confirmed decisions will be coming out on Tuesday evening. (http://admissions.yale.edu/eli-accounts)

And I’m 90% sure that the Harvard EA kids have nearly succeeded in crashing CC. I tried wishing them good luck but i couldn’t connect to the forum. /

@chncsy I don’t think that’s new—as I recall, that date and time have been there for a couple of months at least.

Sitting around watching friends get accepted to Harvard. My anxiety levels are just skyrocketing. :-S

Harvard applicants overloading the servers this is crazy. Soon this thread is gonna be like that

Trust me @Planner it hasn’t always been there. Sometimes I check my eli account for no reason whatsoever and I’ve never seen that there before.
