Yale Class of 2027 Official Thread

Has anyone received a likely letter yet?

Ik there was an article sent about likely letters going to top stem students. Im assuming my child didn’t get accepted. He has taken math through differential equations and multiple years of computer science. My child didn’t receive one.

Can people who have the verification form on their Yale portal login to their IDOC and check if Yale was one of the universities requesting it? Because it can also be that Yale hasn’t requested it but another university did but because you uploaded it to IDOC Yale downloaded it despite it not being used by them.

Just forget about it and relax… We’ll know in 2 weeks anyhow

Yale’s in my IDOC, but I don’t know how to see what document in particular they want.

You seem to have lost hope with this verification thing  but good luck to all!

Is anyone who has received a Housing Verification letter International (specifically from Asia) ?

Likely letters don’t simply go to the top stem students. They got to top applicants with certain hooks that make them highly desirable to Yale. Most accepted students don’t get a likely letter.

I think they are referring to this:

Is that the exact wording of the form? I don’t think there is anything by that name

not exactly, but I heard Yale requests something like a Housing Verification form and if you get a request for that there’s a chance you might get in. However, I’m an international applicant so I wanted to see if the same applies.

Not that I’m one to talk (trust, I’m aware), but y’all, we’ve gone off the rails with this.

Unfortunately we truly don’t know; we’ve heard arguments in all directions regarding this form. At this point, the best thing to do is to wait for another week or two.

Does your Yale financial aid portal not have that form?

unfortunately no, but Yale is definitely a reach for me so I’m not surprised.

Hard agree. We’ve really blown this out of proportion. To put it into perspective: a small spark that was intended to light up a candle flame has started a forest fire.

Just wait for UC decisions, LAC day, Non-ivies, Publics, etc and before you know it, Ivy Day will be here

LAC-day?

Granted, I only applied to Amherst/Williams but that is that?

Yea. All big-name LACs drop decisions at the same second

When is LAC day?

This portal astrology is really stressing me out. I got deferred but also had an interview in November, and haven’t seen any changes to my portal. I didn’t apply for Financial Aid though, so I’m anxious right now

Yale sent an early acceptance letter to 100 of the top stem students. Easily verifiable with a google search.
