yale EA ppl

Lol, I’m dying to see that movie, too! I just posted whichever books I enjoyed the most. shrugs I mean, there are tons of “classics” that I enjoy too, like Don Quixote, The Count of Monte Cristo, and Brave New World…I just love my modern fantasies/thrillers better!

Have you seen the trailer, DualAnya? I was totally excited about it. Though that lion roar almost made me deaf for life…

I’m so excited about the movie!!! It’s going to be amazing!!! Aslan rocks!!!

I think I’m going to reread the first book before I watch the movie. I’ve forgotten everything. Oh,the shame!

Oops i meant the second book…

sorry jhudora, i didn’t want to offend anyone, and i had no one particular in mind when i commented. i just made an observation.
anyhow, the movie based on a book that i really want to see is Memoirs of a Geisha. It looks awesome.

Don’t worry about it, I tend to get touchy when somebody discusses my preferences & feel the need to voice my concerns right away. No hard feelings.

How is “Memoirs of a Geisha”? I’ve never read it.

Its an amazing book, in my opinion. Ive reread it a million times and loved it each way through. Quite well written, considering its written by a man.

I’ll have to read it…if I have any time this year.

im looking forward to the everything is illuminated movie. personally though, movie adaptations never do it for me, like a tree grows in brooklyn (i havent seen the movie in a while but i distinctly remember hating it) or exodus. i suppose gone with the wind was a great movie, but the book… :)

yeah ive been getting in all my reading this summer. all those books that people say “you simply must read”. its great, but now that the clock is ticking i’m like ‘i havent even started the sound and the fury!’ :)

Oh my God!!! They’re making “Everything is Illuminated” into a movie?!?!?!?

yeah…i never have time to read and i made myself a whole long list of books i really wanted to read this summer and i got so little done…oh well.

yeah they are
starring elijah wood

my friend is family friends with the author of ‘everything is illuminated’

Did anyone just mention The Sound and The Fury? That book rocks big time. If you are ok with stream of consciousness, that is.

Alexi-stop-spleening-me!!!

Oh speaking of which…has anyone read “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” yet? It’s by the same guy.

not yet…on my list though…which means ill get to it in a few years lol
