So… once we get our decision, we put it next to our name?

Oh man… Columbia/Dartmouth decisions come out tomorrow, and Brown decisions are out on Monday. Here’s hoping that our fellow CC kids are admitted in droves. And I’m crossing all my fingers and toes for my friends who’ve applied ED to those schools :)

Keep your heads folks. We did this last year, deferred then accepted RD. Yale takes almost as high a percentage of the deferred as it does in the EA round.

That said, Yale rejects anyone that it doesn’t think will be competitive in the RD round. This is different from other top schools that give thousands of ‘polite deferals’ and then take only 10-20 of them in the RD or waitlist rounds.

Best of luck, but remember that life doesn’t end with EA. After Ds deferal, she was accepted to HYP, Columbia, Dart, Brown, and all the top LACs. Work on your backup apps and get them in the mail. You won’t feel much like it after the results, either way. By the way, D is at H. You could change your first choice.

Good luck everyone! My best friend and I were in the same position as you all last year, and were both eventually accepted, one EA and one after being deferred. I’m pretty convinced that you end up in the place that’s right for you, so (although I know it’s impossible) don’t stress. A huge factor in admissions truly IS luck because the pool of amazing applicants is unbelievable.

Kaleidoscopeyes, my best friend and I are also applying EA to Yale! I hope we’re as lucky as you… though I have complete confidence my best friend will get in. She’s amazing :)

I just found out that like half the kids from my middle school (private, gifted) are applying EA to Yale! And they’re all crazy overachievers! I’m doomed…

my not so close friend is applying EA, but he could care less…his parents made him apply, and anyway, he claims that if he were to get into Yale and NYU (his dream school), he’d go to NYU…***!!!
w/e, i guess people just look at things differently…sorta like Yale and harvard
here’s my take on it: A Harvard man and a Yale man were walking down the street. And the Yale man was much, much better.

A Yale and a Harvard guy are *ing in a urinal.
The Yale guy finishes first, zips up, and heads for the door.
