Yale Fall 2010 Thread

You all ought to go back and hit the links on my post #73. Acceptances were received on May 13 the last two years, not to say it will also be this year, but that’s what it’s been in the past. Note that the acceptance that qm linked to in post #199 is for someone who applied to the Eli Whitney program, not Y College.

That’s what I thought all along so I was rather surprised to find that somebody heard back as early as the 8th or the 10th.
Thanks entomom!

wow, so a week from today? unfortuantley i’ll be traveling for seven hours in a car that day…anyone know what time we could expect them to notify us?

Yes! One week! I’m so excited and scared!!

:D you’ll be fine

It’s unlikely that last year’s poster was an Eli Whitney applicant as most–if not all–EW applicants were offered admission in June, after transfer students were notified.

And to clarify: the Eli Whitney program is a part of “Y College.”

^I apologize oYm, I only meant to distinguish between the two application processes, I should have worded it differently. I have no way of verifying that the poster was telling the truth or not, they posted an acceptance letter from Patricia Wei, which stated that it was for EW. I took it at it’s word as there was no indication to do otherwise, but since you have better information, I’m glad you posted.

Thanks acilite! I really hope so.
And for some odd reason I feel like oldYman is a Yale rep hahaha…

I can agree with that. Are you almost done with finals?

Starting on Monday so I’ll be done by this time next week. I really want this week to go by asap.

WOW, penn and yale…same day

@ phosporous

how did you know yale was march 13th like penn?

But Penn is online and Yale is snail mail…so Yale would be at least on the 15th

@pieces, thats what everyone’s been sayingg, but i didn’t realize yale was through snail mail…curious

I’m pretty sure that Yale is through email.

i don’t understand why the admissions office(s) are so unclear about when and how they will make notifications. of course the reviewing period could vary depending upon the number and quality of applications received, but should they not know at least how they will be making notifications? this isn’t 1995: the system will not crash if they send all of the e-mails out at the same time. unrelated, i’m still nostalgic for windows 95.

If I remember it right, Yale said only regular mail notifications would be sent. And they were not sure when the decisions will be released.
Are you guy sure that all decisions will be released on a single day?
Good luck!

accepted. got the e-mail this morning.

OMG!!! Congrats!! That’s amazing!!
I’m pretty sure I have no shot, so I’m gonna try again next year. But yeah, congrats!
So jealous!

doctorx017: Frankly I’m kind of skeptical that you did get in. There’s a lot of ■■■■■■ here who lie about this sort of thing to freak out other people. That said, assuming you really got in, did you ask for them to release it early because you had an acceptance from another school who’s reply deadline was around now, or did they just send you a message out of the blue?
