All I have gotten into a little argument with a member on the BU forums because (s)he was comparing the SOM program to BU’s undergrad program. Anyways i have friends at Yale and i remembered my friend telling me that she could not double major in the same school. Lergnorm supposedly double majored at Yale 30 years ago. With that said is it possible to double majored in English and History? Thanks for your responses and i posted the Link to our argument so you guys can have some laughs. Cheers…person goes by Lergnorm

If you did a quick search, you would find out that it is indeed possible to double major at Yale. Here’s an article from 2004 about it: [What does it mean to double major at Yale?](yaleherald.com)

Also, there aren’t different ‘schools’ at the undergraduate level at Yale; it’s all Yale College: [Academic programs](Academics | Yale University)

I think that about 15% of yale undergrads double major. So yes it is possible. and yes you can double major in english and history.
yale doesn’t have separate schools–it is all yale college and the different majors are available there.
I wouldn’t doubt that this person went to yale.

interesting…that clears it up thanks. I always thought that you could only major in one subject at yale college.

interesting (ten char)
