<p>My goals: DEGREE IN ECONOMICS FOCUS ON FINANCE AT MIT, YALE, CORNELL.</p>

<p>I am aware of the odds; aware that they are definately not in my favor, however, I would appreciate honesty and sincerity.</p>

<p>Originally from Venezuela, I am 27 years old and I dropped out of High school in my junior year, taking my GED and moving directly into college to become a pilot. My plans changed, as I dropped out of college after my first semester and received two F’s for not knowing the definition of dropping or withdrawing a class.
Since, and during I have buildt an extensive professional resume, for I have been working since I was 14 and always excelled in any position held. Working in sales, purchasing, but mainly management, both in the wholesale and retail levels in various industries. From the Air Cargo, to high end jewelery and timepieces, to Packing supplies, including Export and Import.
I decided to go back to school after losing a position where I had two presidents of sister companies recomending me to high level position, and after making it to the top two, not landing it. My coleague later told me that I was a strong candidate, but unfortunately I did not have a degree that could support my experience. I am very strong, but this one got to my heart. Therefore, I needed a proactive change in order for my highly abicious dreams and desires to become reality. As a result, I quit my full time job as a Sales Director for an air cargo company, and enrolled full time in a local community college.
It has been a year since, and I currently have a 3.88 gpa, receiving only one B after three full time semesters. I am in the Honors College and a member of the phi beta kappa, and the Hillel Jewish union, volunteering for various events, but mainly tutoring children to read and write hebrew. Also, I give 8 hours a week tutoring young adolecents who are homeless or in foster care, in math and english subjects. I was accepted into a leadership program where only 13 students were chosen to learn about leadership, and to shadow an administrator and a government official for a week during spring break. Similarly, I am a student embassador, assisting other incoming students. currently taking Precal and Trig, Business Cal, and Biology, in the summer term, all A’s. Many courses not required for my transfer A.A.
In a Humble manner, I am well respected by all my coleague students whom have taken clases whith me, for I have tutored many of them, constantly offering my help and advice, I can assure that over 40 students will gladly agree of my constant support towards their success, but most important, to inform about the importance of an education, no matter the financial level of success reached.
I hope that I can be considered a strong candidate after completing my A.A; my reason like many to join a top level school, is about the sence of accomplishment and personal satisfaction to obtain the best education possible.
I know that, just like I can be part of a community college, and be in the top of the game, I can acomplish the same elsewhere, for my personality does not allow indifference or injustice, we are all capable of achieving anything we want.</p>

<p>Will i get in to MIT, YALE, CORNELL,BROWN?</p>

<p>I don’t know, if not, I will keep on moving on my journey of life, along with a sensational smile, and the satisfaction of accomplishment. Because, I will be back to apply for my MBA with my Economics BS in hand.</p>

<p>I was aware that after more than 60 credits, it was not necessary to do sat. But, i still went ahead and took them last week to see how i would do. I think it went pretty well, but I will have to wait for the scores.</p>

<p>I would prefer not to apply thru the Elly Whitney program, what I have read so far, it seems like that would be a great choice for someone considering part time, and it appears to have a few restrictions as far as courses or credits. Thank you for your comments, I appreciate any advice or comments. Thnak you.</p>
