Yale vs. MIT vs. Princeton

Hunt, I don’t follow your alalogy. Are you saying that science is inconsequential to the missions of Yale and Princeton, as ashtrays are inconsequential to the mission of a vehicle?

i think he saying, in short, its pointless to argue. both are great all around, and dont worry about the minor differences. i dont agree, i think that its not a minor difference, but i believe thats what he is saying.

That’s right. I’m saying that if BMW and Mercedes owners have to have something to argue about, they might argue about minor differences. In the grand scheme, the differences in quality between Yale and Princeton in terms of their science programs (and every other program) are vanishingly inconsequential.

I would think that’s the case as well. At either place you will have outstanding opportunities.

PosterX:

Are you crazy? Your posts are ludicrous!!! Yale engineering is TTT. The people outside of Yale engineering are smart, but the engineering students are very mediocre. MIT >>>>>>>>> Yale science and engineering. Princeton engineering is also definitely much better than Yale, but probably not in the other sciences.

I’m too lazy to look through all your posts, but I’m wondering if you’re a student at Yale or an alum?

This will certainly come as news to the faculty and grad students at Princeton, as well as to U.S. News which ranks Princeton’s graduate programs #3 in physics, #16 in chemistry, #12 in biological sciences, #11 in earth sciences, and #6 in computer science.
